CLIPSNACK EARLY ACCESS
Your details, explained.
Updated November 6, 2026
This notice covers the ClipSnack early-access list, invite-only account workspace, and free local editor preview. Questions or removal requests can be sent to support@queststudio.io.
When you join the list
We store your email address, any recording format and posting platform you choose, where on our site you joined, and the time and wording of your email consent. We use these details to manage early access, understand what creators need, and send ClipSnack access and launch emails you requested. Joining does not create a paid subscription.
Who processes the information
Vercel hosts the website, signup endpoint, and optional private video storage in the United States. Supabase stores signup details, account information, and saved project edits in the United States. Resend delivers the sign-in codes you request from clipsnack@queststudio.io. These providers also process technical information needed to operate their services. We do not sell signup details or use them for third-party advertising.
Abuse prevention
The signup endpoint uses your network address to create a rotating, keyed fingerprint and limit repeated requests. The signup database does not store your raw network address. Expired rate-limit records are cleared when the endpoint next processes a signup. Hosting providers may retain technical request logs under their own retention settings.
Your account and saved projects
The invite-only workspace stores your email address, project names, clip cuts, caption text, framing settings, review decisions, and file details such as the recording’s name, size, and duration. These details let you return to your edits. Account sessions are kept in this browser’s local storage so you remain signed in; use Sign out on a shared device. Your workspace is private to your account.
You can delete a saved project from the workspace. To delete your account and its remaining projects, contact support@queststudio.io. We retain account and project details while you use the workspace, until you delete them or request removal. Signing in does not subscribe you to launch or marketing emails.
Local and stored video
Opening a recording in the free editor keeps the file on your device. Account projects save clip edits and file details online. Selecting Save video online also uploads a private copy to ClipSnack’s Vercel storage so you can reopen it without selecting the original file. Only upload recordings you have permission to use.
Stored originals are scheduled for deletion after 7 days; unfinished upload sessions expire after 24 hours. You can remove a stored copy in the editor or delete its project in the workspace. Cleanup runs every 10 minutes and retries failures. Existing temporary upload access can last up to 20 minutes, so cleanup checks the path again after that access expires. Your clip edits remain saved when an original expires or you remove only its stored copy.
Playback uses temporary links scoped to one recording, valid for up to 15 minutes. Anyone holding an unexpired playback link may use it; avoid sharing it. ClipSnack does not send these beta recordings to an AI provider for analysis yet. Sample edits and caption preferences may be stored in this browser; clearing website data removes those local preferences. Keep your own original files; beta storage is temporary.
How long we keep signup details
We keep your details while managing the early-access list and launch communications, unless you ask us to remove them. We will review and remove unneeded list data within 12 months of joining. Account project retention is described above.
Your choices
Both recording format and posting platform are optional. You can request access, correction, removal, or stop early-access emails by writing to support@queststudio.io. Future list emails will include a way to opt out. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply.
Changes
We’ll update this page as ClipSnack develops. We’ll tell you about material changes to how signup information is used.
